Truth For (A) Change.com is the companion website to the Truth For (A) Change newsletter, distributed to residents of Shady Cove by Bud and Jane Rees. Bud Rees campaigned for City Councilor last fall on a platform of common sense change for Shady Cove. Well over 500 voters heard his call. This website and newsletter respond to that desire for change.
We want to introduce our mascot, Detective Over Sight, whose job it is to keep us focused on the facts behind the fancy people here are often presented with by public officials. Our expectation is that as validated facts (truth) are presented to the people of Shady Cove over time, a change in the way the business of governing takes place here will be forthcoming.
This website and the newsletter we distribute are supported entirely by us, declining outside contributions. Truth for (A) Change is not affiliated with any other organizations, movements or causes. Rather, we remain focused on our stated purpose, to report the facts coming out of City Hall as opposed to the information that often masquerades as fact.
With each issue of our newsletter, we will update this site with the articles from the newsletter and the supporting documentation for those articles. The stories will be listed in the navigation bar on the left side of this home page, and the documentation will be available through links embedded in the articles. We also have a stand-alone links page to help you find other resources of interest.
